 Reading Recovery

Reading Recovery is a short term intervention for first grade students. At the beginning of the year students are assessed using the Observation Survey. Students are then chosen to be a part of the program. Reading Recovery is a series of lessons (12 to 20 weeks) that are individually designed for each student. The Reading Recovery teachers at Northwest also work with first and second grade literature groups.
